More support for your documents
Apostilles, authentication, legalization, translations, and notarization. Discuss the right process at your local office.
Federal apostilles and authentication
We assist with the applicable federal process for documents such as FBI background checks. Federal apostilles and authentication certificates are handled through the U.S. Department of State, not the California Secretary of State. The correct route depends on the document and destination.
Embassy and consular legalization
We also offer legalization assistance when the destination requires it. This is distinct from an apostille and may involve additional steps. Bring any instructions from the receiving organization so we can review the requirements with you.
Certified translations
Certified translations are available through Latino Services Network as a separate service. They are never automatically included with an apostille. You can discuss both services during the same office visit.

Notarization when needed
Notarization is available through LSN for documents that require it. We review the document first; notarization and an apostille serve different purposes.
Start locally
All service arrangements begin at our Rancho Cucamonga or Rialto office. We explain the applicable steps, fees, and timing in person. Same-day availability applies to California apostille service, with an extra fee.
For official federal instructions, see the U.S. Department of State authentication guidance.
